Didn't find 'resume' save game on upgrade

Post by chunter »

More an annoyance than a bug.

When I upgraded to 2.0, I renamed my .bygfoot-1.9 directory to .bygfoot and tried to 'resume last save' from the splash screen which failed, exiting the program.

I started again by specifying the save file from the command line, which worked, then I saved immediately, quit, and restarted with the 'resume last save' button. It works just fine now.

Still a great game!

Best wishes

thanks for reporting. there's no good way of taking care of the problem, however. the path of the last save game changes when you rename .bygfoot-1.9 to .bygfoot, that's why the file isn't found. but as you noticed, if you load the file from the command line or in the usual way via the file chooser everything goes smoothly.

I think I know a way, but I haven't tested it yet:

Move the old .bygfoot-1.9 to .bygfoot, then make a symlink from .bygfoot to .bygfoot-1.9?

Seems excessive for the scope of the issue though.
